Why You Need a Professional Cedar Fence Installation Company for Your Project

Before buying my first home I heard a joke, “Ohh you’re buying a house? Welcome to your second full-time job!” I rolled my eyes but as I became a homeowner I realized just how true this is. There are always projects you have on the list to take care of and you always have to decide if you will do it yourself or hire a professional. Today we will break down why it is better to hire a professional fencing contractor versus doing the work yourself.

Time is Money

The first thing you need to consider is that construction projects take time. You can not ignore the age-old saying “time is money” If you are not an experienced professional with fencing experience I can guarantee you your project will take longer than you expected. If you are a busy parent and/or professional you look forward to your vacations and weekends. You may not be paying for a fencing professional’s time but you are sacrificing yours.

The ability to bring these things to the job means that your projects will be done quickly.Building Speed

Not only will a professional fence contractor mean you won’t be sacrificing your time, but the fence contractor will be able to do the job much faster. Professional fence contractors have access to the proper tools, equipment, and people. The ability to bring these things to the job means that your projects will be done quickly. When a construction crew is in and out quickly it means convenience for you and less stress around the project.

A professional fence contractor is building fences every day. With the daily experience as well as the institutional knowledge you will know your project is done correctly. Construction is never a task to be taken lightly. Anyone who has done a DIY project knows how many times an unforeseen problem causes further expense and time. As professionals, we have the ability to foresee issues and the knowledge to ensure they do not affect the final outcome.

Professional fence companies are able to get higher quality materials at a better price. Fencing material companies want to sell as much as possible to as few people as possible. This makes their job easier. Because buying in bulk makes the supplier’s job easier they give price breaks. The ability to buy in bulk at better prices means a professional fence company can buy higher-quality materials and still save you money. For instance, at Draper Fencing we use Sugi Cedar vs the Incense Cedar bought from a store like Lowes. Sugi is a far far superior species of Cedar. We are able to get it for almost the same price one can buy Incense from Lowes. For you, this means a much higher quality product for a better price.

Permits & Code

As professionals we have the ability to foresee issues and the knowledge to ensure they do not affect the final outcome.

Permits and Codes can be an absolute nightmare and take a very long time to obtain. Many DIYers may decide not to bother. At

Draper, we have seen people have to remove fences on several occasions due to permits and codes. Working with a professional fence company means that you will be advised about codes and permitting throughout the entire process. This means when you pay for a project you can rest assured that there will be no surprises afterward.

Any professional fence contractor should be offering a warranty on their workmanship. At Draper Fencing we give a three-year warranty on the fence and gates. When you hire us for your project we are starting a relationship and we always strive to satisfy our customers. We build repair days into the schedule to ensure any issues are taken care of in a timely manner. A good warranty will save you time and money.

It is always tough to decide between spending money on a professional and doing the work yourself. Most of the time when it comes to fencing the benefits of hiring a professional far outweigh the cons. When you choose Draper you will know you’re going to have a convenient experience and a great product once finished.
